Back.

After a long and unexpectedly stressful holiday break, I'm back at City Year. Finally.

Friday was my first day. It was amazing to see my team. It was vaguely like being without my left arm for almost three weeks. We hadn't been a full team since Timona injured his knee way back in December. I got to catch up with a lot of people and everyone was super supportive and wanted to know how my dad was doing.

There's so much coming up so quickly. We have one week before MLK Day. This is my big event work for the year, and already its almost finished. Next Saturday we're supposed to take our kids to Destination Imagination team training, but it's also Young Heroes Opening Day. I want to go to that too... DI needs to get off the ground NOW--we are finalizing our team this week with whoever we have. Our advanced training retreat is at the end of January. Sara and I need to plan our creativity corps tour, which we are taking whether or not we get our grant from headquarters. I'm pretty sure I have to apply for senior corps soon. I don't know how that works.

I can't believe its January already.
